Korey Gillen LCAA Hall of Fame

In a celebration of athletic dedication, Keshequa Central School alumnus Korey Gillen, a 2011 graduate, has been inducted into the LCAA Wrestling Hall of Fame. 

Gillen's wrestling journey is marked by exceptional achievements and an unwavering commitment to the sport. As a six-year starter on the varsity wrestling team, he left an indelible mark on Keshequa Central School's wrestling legacy.

During his career, Gillen clinched the LCAA Championship in 2011, while also being a finalist in 2009 and 2010. His dominance extended to the sectional level, where he earned the title of a four-time Class B Sectional Champion. Gillen's exceptional performance in 2009 and 2011 earned him the prestigious MVP honors for Class B.

In 2011, Gillen's secured the Section V title for all of Division 2, earning him the distinguished honor to represent Section V at the New York State Tournament. His dedication to fair play and sportsmanship also didn't go unnoticed, as he earned the NYS Sportsmanship Award that same year.

Gillen also continues to hold the record number of wins at the Keshequa Central School, with 206 wins. 

As Korey takes his place among the esteemed members of the LCAA Wrestling Hall of Fame, the Keshequa Central School Community extends its gratitude for his lasting impact on Keshequa Athletics.
