The 2025 spring sports season has officially come to a close, and our student-athletes delivered an unforgettable stretch of competition marked by championships, postseason runs, and individual honors.
Softball Finishes as Section V, Class D Runner-Ups
The varsity softball team capped off a strong season with a trip to the Section V, Class D championship game, ultimately finishing as runner-ups.
This year’s LCAA softball standouts were also recognized at the state level, with Ryley Benner named to the NYSSWA All-State First Team and Bree Benner named to the Second Team, an incredible honor reflecting their impact on the field all season long.
Exceptional Seniors Isabella Hugi and Skylar Rease played key roles, both on and off the field. Hugi was also recognized as an All-Star, joining teammates Lilly Hugi, Ryley Benner, and Bree Benner in earning the honor for their outstanding play during the season.
Baseball All-Stars Recognized for Strong Performances
While the baseball team faced a competitive schedule, several players stood out for their consistent efforts and leadership. Earning All-Star recognition were Owen Pike, Ryan Fox, Aiden Howe, Nolan Therrien, and Aiden Upright. Each made significant contributions on both offense and defense, anchoring the team through key matchups and close contests. Senior Owen Pike was also honored as an Exceptional Senior, recognizing his impact on the program throughout his high school career. Adding to the team’s honors, Coach Tim Howe was named LCAA Coach of the Year for his leadership and dedication to the development of the team both on and off the field.
Boys Track & Field Claims Division Title, Finishes Second in Sectionals
The boys track and field team had a season to remember, capturing the LCAA Division II Championship and finishing as Section V Class C4 Runner-Ups.
Senior Ian Hinrich led the way with a series of standout performances, claiming the LCAA Triple Jump Championship and being named the LCAA Male Field Athlete of the Year. He also received the Section V Devin Snyder Award.
All-Star selections for the team included Seth Ebersole, Will Rautenstrauch, Ian Hinrich, and Sean Favo, each contributing significantly in their respective events.
Girls Track & Field Shines at State Level
The girls track and field team saw individual excellence reach new heights this season, highlighted by senior Riley Nageldinger, who competed and placed at the NYS Track & Field Championships and the Federation Meet.
Nageldinger finished 2nd in the 400m hurdles and 4th in the 400m dash at the state meet, before earning 4th place in the 400m hurdles at the statewide Federation Meet. Her efforts also earned her the Section V Devin Snyder Award.
Joining her as All-Star honorees were teammates Braelyn Isaman and Luna Palmer, who also delivered consistent and impressive performances throughout the season.
Golf Program Sees Growth, County-Level Competition
This year marked a milestone for the golf program, with a record number of students joining the team. The season brought new energy and enthusiasm to the sport, and two student-athletes stood out in particular—Noah Cowdrick and Isaac Wendt, who both represented Keshequa at the County Championships.
