The Keshequa Central School District is proud to announce that district residents approved the proposed 2026–2027 school budget during the annual Budget Vote and Board of Education Election.
The approved budget authorizes the district to expend $21,998,837 during the 2026–2027 school year. The final vote tally for Proposition #1 was 298 yes votes to 229 no votes.
Voters also approved Proposition #2, which authorizes the district to move forward with the planned purchase of school transportation vehicles. This includes the acquisition of one 64-passenger Type C diesel school bus, one 30-passenger Type C diesel school bus, and two SUV-type vehicles at a maximum aggregate cost of $469,02. The proposition passed with 330 yes votes and 195 no votes.
In addition, residents voted to fill seats on the Board of Education. Rachel Milhollen and Kristen Houtz were elected to serve on the Board.
Final Board of Education vote totals were as follows:
Rachel Milhollen — 275 votes
Kristen Houtz — 274 votes
Grayson Jackson — 251 votes
Jeff Bugman — 168 votes
Patrick Shamus Scully — 27 votes
