We hope everyone is enjoying their President’s Recess! Please be aware of an important schedule change coming up in March! Wednesday, March 5, will now be a Superintendent’s Conference Day, meaning there will be no school for students. This replaces the previously scheduled Conference Day on March 21, which will now be a regular school day. We apologize for any confusion and appreciate your understanding. Some of our 4th graders even spent time with our kindergarteners today, helping them read their valentines. 💌 Enjoy the time off, and we’ll see you on Monday, February 24th!

SCHOOL CLOSED ALERT! Due to poor road conditions, the Kesheuqa Central School District will be closed today, Tuesday, January 28. All classes and school activities are canceled. Please note that school will also be closed tomorrow, January 29, in observance of Lunar New Year.

🎉 A Big Congratulations to Mrs. Neu and Our 4th Graders! 🧀🌟 We’re beyond excited to celebrate some of our talented 4th Grade students and their incredible achievement in the New York Agriculture in the Classroom Mac & Cheese Challenge! Guided by Mrs. Neu, they created a one-of-a-kind dish called Mac-A-Taco-Dip and secured an impressive 3rd place tie in the Intermediate Division across the entire state! Amazing job, everyone!

Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day! 💙 While we extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our incredible local law enforcement members, we want to give a special shoutout to Resource Deputy Connor Mann! Thank you, Deputy Mann, for your unwavering dedication to keeping our school safe and for your commitment to making a positive impact on our students' lives. 🎄🎁 Today we had a very unusual visitor at Keshequa—THE GRINCH! 🎁🎄 To celebrate Grinch Day, he greeted our MS/HS students before heading over to the Elementary classrooms. There, he played board games, colored, and—of course—caused a little mischief! It’s been such a joy celebrating Spirit Week with you and sharing in the excitement of the season. We hope you have a restful and joyful winter break—you’ve earned it! 📅 We can’t wait to see you again on January 6, 2025! Until then, stay safe, stay warm, and keep spreading holiday cheer!

Today was Joy Day at Keshequa Elementary, and our students spent the day spreading kindness and cheer! 🧡 They worked on projects like making wreaths and a holiday video for local nursing home residents, creating decorations for local businesses, caroling, and crafting seed ornaments for our animal friends. The fun didn’t stop there – everyone enjoyed an exciting Glow Party and ended the day reflecting on what brought them joy. It was a beautiful reminder of the impact small acts of kindness can have on our community. 🧡

Ms. Lawson’s 1st-grade class has recently been on a journey through time, exploring how families and communities have changed over the years. The students kicked off the unit by creating autobiography timelines with their families, sharing their unique stories and personal histories. They then dove deeper into understanding the differences between families from long ago and today. To wrap up the unit, students got creative by designing their own family representations!

Before break, we had the privilege of celebrating our Elementary Students of the Month AND our Elementary Bus of the Month – Bus 159! 🚌✨ A big round of applause to all of our hardworking students for setting the bar high and being incredible role models. Keep up the amazing work – we’re so proud of you!

🦃🎈Kindergarten Thanksgiving Parade! 🎈🦃 Our kindergarteners kicked off their Holidays and Traditions unit by learning about the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Today, they brought the magic to life with their own handmade balloons and hats, parading through the halls for all our elementary students to enjoy! We hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving Break and we'll see you on Monday!
