📅 Schedule Reminders 📅 Next week, Monday and Tuesday, November 25 and 26, will be half days for all students, with parent/teacher conferences taking place in the afternoon. Following that, school will be closed for Thanksgiving Recess from Wednesday, November 27, through Sunday, December 1. We hope everyone enjoys a safe and restful holiday break! 🦃

🇺🇸✨ This morning, we had the honor of celebrating our local veterans at our elementary school's annual Veterans Day ceremony! Veterans enjoyed a special breakfast with their loved ones, then gathered in the cafetorium where our students shared handmade crafts, sang patriotic songs, and read heartfelt poems to recognize their service. Thank you to all veterans for your bravery and sacrifices!

🌟 NJHS Hurricane/Flood Relief Drive! 🌟 Now through Thursday, 10/24, the National Junior Honor Society is looking for supply donations to help those impacted by the flood in Canisteo, and the Hurricanes in Tennessee and North Carolina. Drop boxes are located by the main doors of Dalton and Nunda school buildings. All students, faculty, and community members are encouraged to contribute any items from our donation list. Together, we can make a difference! 🧡

🚒 A huge thank you to our friends at the Nunda Fire Dept for visiting our elementary school! Our students had an incredible time learning about the vital work you do in our community. They loved exploring the fire trucks and discussing important safety tips for emergencies. Your dedication to educating our students is truly appreciated!

🌈 A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Color Run yesterday! Your energy and enthusiasm made it an unforgettable day! We want to thank the Middle School Youth and Government Club for sponsoring the event, as well as Be Well Nunda, and the KPTSA for joining us! A huge thank you also goes out to Kiwanis for donating our prizes and for Empire Cheer for donating our shirts!

Today, we celebrated our amazing Elementary Students of the Month, and for the very first time, we recognized our Bus of the Month! A huge shoutout to Bus 159 and all the wonderful students who ride it! If you see Bus 159 or any of its riders around, be sure to give them a big congratulations! Your hard work and positive behavior make our school community shine! 🌟

Today, our 4th graders had an unforgettable experience watching "Journey to the Center of the Earth" by The REV Theatre Co. The performance was not only enchanting, but our students also got to interact with the actors, solving puzzles and helping to steer the adventure along! A huge thank you to The Rev Theatre Company for bringing this story to life!

We're just one week away from our Color Run! Join the Youth & Government Club on October 8 from 5-6:30 PM at the Nunda campus for an unforgettable evening of fun! Registration is easy! Download the registration form and return it to the school with your student! What’s a Color Run? It’s a fun run/walk through an awesome obstacle course around the school, where you’ll get doused in vibrant color powders at various points! Start in a white shirt and finish looking like a rainbow! 🌈

🎶 Exciting things are happening in 4th grade! Our students recently came together to explore the different band instruments available for lessons this year. Mr. Holtz from the MS/HS visited Dalton to share insights about each instrument family and provided a fantastic demonstration of how to put them together and play. 🎺 Parents, mark your calendars! We’ll be having a 4th grade band meeting this Thursday, October 3rd, at 6:00 PM in the Dalton Cafetorium. Don't miss out on the chance to learn more!
