KCS Junior Elizabeth Wood recently noticed that Golisano Children's hospital was looking for community help with collecting Christmas donations for children that are hospitalized or receiving treatments during the holidays and wanted to help.
With the help of her family and several National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society members along with Advisors Sarah Bull and Nicole Ives, we collected over 50 items that will be donated to children at Golisano.
A heartfelt shoutout to our community partners - Christine's Style's, Nunda PO, M&T Bank, Nunda Pharmacy, and Parkside Diner - for graciously serving as drop-off locations as well.

We're continuing our "Worky Wednesday" career lunches, where students can explore different career fields during their lunch period.
This month students from grades 5-8 got hands-on insights into the world of carpentry with Jeff Pasnik, a skilled Union Carpenter. Meanwhile, grades 9-12 were treated to an exciting workshop on the dynamic field of computer programming by Jim Bucki, the Director of Information & Technology at GCC.

Our middle schoolers got to enjoy some well deserved rewards today!👏🥳
In the spirit of giving, 7th graders earned a pizza party PLUS the epic opportunity to pie Principal Kanner in the face- for bringing the most donations to our recent canned food drive!
Meanwhile, our 6th graders got to hang out with Principal Kanner and watch a Christmas movie, for winning our school-wide monopoly game back in October!
What a fantastic way to kick off the holiday season!

Students in Mr. Earley and Mrs. Waight's Spanish classes dove into the rich traditions of Dia de los Muertos, a tradition that allows us to pay tribute to and remember our loved ones who have passed on, creating a stunning ofrenda that beautifully captured the essence of this meaningful celebration. 🧡🕯️
The ofrenda, adorned with family pictures, marigold flowers, candles, butterflies, and skeletons, served as a tangible expression of our collective respect and remembrance.
A huge shoutout to Mr. Earley, Mrs. Waight, and all the incredible students who contributed to crafting this cultural masterpiece! 🙏 Special thanks to the families who generously shared their cherished pictures, making this ofrenda a truly personal and meaningful tribute.

Today, our fantastic middle schoolers brought their A-game by rocking incredible costumes, and we held a thrilling contest during lunch!
Our dedicated staff narrowed it down to the top four contestants in each group. Then, the power was in the hands of the students as they cast their votes to determine the ultimate champions! 🗳️🏆
A huge round of applause to the talented winners in both groups!

We are thrilled to announce that several of our incredibly talented students have been selected to participate in the Junior High Area All-State Music Festival! 🎶
